Optimum is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. When we say “Optimum,” we mean CSC Holdings, LLC, its parent Optimum Communications, Inc. and its affiliates that provide the Services, such as Cequel Communications, LLC, CSC Investments II LLC, CSC Wireless LLC, and CSC Wireless NY, LLC.
We also use words like “we,” “us,” and “our” to refer to Optimum in this Policy.

When Does This Privacy Policy Apply?
In general
This Privacy Policy applies to "personal information" that we collect in connection with our Optimum-branded residential and business services, the optimum.com and optimum.net websites and other Optimum-branded websites which link to this Policy (together, the "Websites"), and the related mobile apps we provide (together, the "Services").
When we say "personal information," in this Policy, unless we directly say otherwise in a particular section, we mean information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked to you.

Some states have laws that may require us to provide additional or different disclosures about your personal information, or which may define "personal information" differently. Section 10 of this Policy, "Your State Privacy Rights," identifies which states fall into this category, contains additional information about our data privacy practices in those states, and identifies other rights that residents of those states may have.
Cookie policy
We use cookies and other tracking technologies on our Websites for a variety of purposes, including marketing, advertising, and analytics. As part of our commitment to transparency, we have developed a Cookie Policy which provides information about what these technologies are, how they are used, and what choices you have.

Service-specific privacy notices
We may provide other privacy notices to you depending on how you interact with us, or where required by law (each, a "Service-Specific Notice"). For example, personal information that we collect in the following circumstances is subject to other privacy notices that we provide:
If there is a conflict between this Policy and another privacy notice that we provide you for these types of reasons, we follow the Service-Specific Notice.
- Contact and account details – Name; service, billing, and mailing addresses; email address; phone numbers; account username, password and access code.
- Payment and financial information – Credit or debit card number, bank account information, and billing history.
- Government and verification identifiers – Date of birth, Social Security number, or driver’s license number, where needed to establish service, verify identity, check credit, or similar purposes.
- Communications – Records and recordings of your calls, chats, texts, and emails with our sales, customer service, and technical support teams, and your survey responses and preferences.
- Billing and account information – account number, services and equipment, payment history, and service usage.
- TV usage (if you are an Optimum TV customer) – information about how you use our TV Services and equipment, such as channels and programs viewed, interactive features used, and settings (including on-demand and DVR activity).
- Internet usage (if you are an Optimum internet customer) – information associated with your account such as your IP address, device and network identifiers, equipment performance, data usage, domain name server (DNS) information, and Wi-Fi information.
- Mobile usage (if you are an Optimum Mobile customer) – network and device information and, where applicable, information about your use of the mobile service, consistent with federal law. Please see Section 5, "Your Federal Privacy Protections," for more information.
- App usage – how you use our apps and smart device "skills," including device type, configuration, and the features you use, as further explained in our Apps Privacy Notice.
- Location information – the general location of devices you use to access the Services, based on your connection, and, for Optimum Mobile customers, the general network-based location while your device is on. We use this information for purposes such as providing and securing the Service, supporting your equipment, and enabling emergency services.
- Video Records – Our employees and agents may record video at your service location while troubleshooting, when performing maintenance, and/or during emergency situations (as determined by us in our reasonable discretion).
- Cookies and similar technologies – we and our partners use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies on our Websites. Please visit our Cookie Policy and review "Your Privacy Choices" in Section 9, below.
Personal Information We Collect
We collect personal information in three ways: (1) information you give us, (2) information we collect automatically when you use our Services and/or visit our Websites, and (3) information we receive from other sources. The specific types of personal information we collect depend on how you interact with us.
In some cases, the types of personal information that we collect or otherwise process may qualify as "sensitive" personal information or "sensitive data" under certain state laws. Please see Section 10 for more information about the types of sensitive personal information we may collect in this context, and additional state-specific rights that you may have.

Information we collect automatically when you use our Services or visit our Websites
As part of providing the Services and/or Websites, our systems automatically generate and collect information about your equipment and how the Services and/or Websites are used, including:
Information we receive from other sources
We may obtain information from publicly available sources, marketing and analytics partners, credit reporting agencies, and similar sources. Subject to requirements of applicable law, this can include demographic information, information about your interests, and other information that we may use to expand and better understand our customer base. We may combine this information with the information described above except where prohibited by law.
How We Use Personal Information
In general
We use the personal information we collect for the following purposes:

Security, fraud, and safety Protect our Services, customers, personnel, and property; detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized use; and help keep people safe. Legal and compliance Enforce our terms and contracts, comply with applicable laws and legal process, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Anonymized and de-identified information
In some cases, we may anonymize or de-identify personal information collected about Optimum customers. Anonymized or de-identified information can no longer be reasonably used to identify you, and is used,
for example, for purposes such as measurement of viewership of programming and advertising, creation of tuning and viewing cohorts or segmentations, providing targeted content for our Services or facilitating delivery of relevant third-party advertising/promotional messages through our Services and on third party websites and other platforms (collectively, "De-Identified Audiences"). If you prefer to opt out of the use of your personal information for creating De-Identified Audiences, please see Section 9, "Your Privacy Choices" for information about how to do so.
We and our service providers may use personal information and de-identified or aggregated information to train and operate AI or machine-learning models for the business purposes described above, such as improving customer support, network operations, fraud detection, and the Services overall.
How We Disclose Personal Information
In general
We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration or as that term is traditionally defined. However, certain of our marketing or advertising activities or analytics tools could be considered a "sale" or "sharing" or processing for targeted advertising under certain U.S. state privacy laws, as described in Section 9.
We disclose personal information as necessary to render our Services, or conduct legitimate activities related to those Services, as described below and in this Policy.
Category Reasons we may disclose Service Providers We share personal information with vendors that perform Services for us such as billing and payments, customer support, network and IT, analytics, marketing, and security, and that are contractually required to protect the information and use it only for the purposes we provide it. Affiliates We share personal information within the Optimum family of companies to provide, support, and improve the Services and for the purposes described in this Policy. Advertising and Analytics Partners Subject to requirements of applicable law, we may disclose (and our advertising partners may collect) online identifiers such as IP address and cookie, device, or advertising IDs, internet activity information, and information that you provide to us, such as encoded representations of your email address, address, or phone number. We and our advertising partners use this information for the purpose of developing, enabling, enhancing, and measuring how we advertise and market Optimum Services.
Data obtained through the Optimum Text Alert Notifications program is not disclosed with any third parties for their marketing reasons/purposes. Optimum additionally does not disclose your CPNI to non-affiliates for marketing purposes. We may, however, use telephone CPNI or disclose de-identified information to tailor your service and to market related Optimum phone products and services to you.

Additionally, depending on where you live, state law may provide you additional rights. Please see Section 10, “Your State Privacy Rights” for more information.Account-holders and Users We may share information about an account and its use with the primary account holder and authorized users on the account. Other Carriers If you use mobile or VoIP phone service, we may exchange information with other carriers and providers as needed to connect and support your calls and service (for example, while roaming). Government, Law Enforcement, and pursuant to judicial process We may disclose information to comply with law and legal process; to enforce our terms and contracts; to respond to government and law-enforcement requests; to protect the rights, property, and safety of Optimum, our customers, and the public; and in emergencies. We disclose cable and phone customer information only as permitted by the federal laws described below. First Responders If you subscribe to our VoIP or Mobile phone Services, we may transmit your name, number, and registered location to a public safety answering point ("PSAP") when you dial 911 for emergency services. Business Transfers If all or part of our business is sold, merged, financed, or reorganized, we may transfer information as part of that transaction, subject to this policy. Other purposes
We may also disclose personal information in other ways, such as when you direct us to; in accordance with our Service-Specific Notices, where they apply; or where you otherwise have consented.
Your Federal Privacy Protections
Cable services
As a cable operator, we follow the Cable Communications Policy Act. We collect and disclose personally identifiable information about cable subscribers only as the law allows, do not disclose it for unrelated purposes without consent except as permitted by law. If we violate your rights, you may be entitled to bring a civil action in a federal court, which may award actual, liquidated, and punitive damages, fees and costs, and other remedies that may be available. In addition, if anyone asks us to provide information about you, we may have to notify you, and you may have the right to appear in court.
Phone and mobile services (CPNI)
If you have home (VoIP) phone or mobile service, federal law protects your Customer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI)—information such as the type, destination, and amount of your use and your calling records. We use, disclose, and permit access to CPNI only as the law allows or with your consent, and we do not disclose your CPNI to unaffiliated third parties for their own marketing without your consent. You may obtain your CPNI by written request. You must send the written request to Optimum at 1111 Stewart Ave., Bethpage, NY 11714, Attn. Shared Services - CDR. All requests will be verified.
How Long We Keep Personal Information
We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy and for other legal, tax, accounting, and business purposes. To decide how long to keep information, we consider how long we have an ongoing relationship with you and provide the Services; any legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory obligation to retain the information; and whether retention is advisable in light of our legal position (such as applicable statutes of limitation, litigation, or investigations). When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
How We Protect Personal Information
We use physical, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, such as encryption of certain data in transit, access controls, and monitoring. Despite these measures, we do not guarantee the security of information stored in our databases or that unauthorized parties will not intercept information you send or receive over the Internet. As a shared resource, the Internet subjects our services and you to the risk of unauthorized access to files and data, even when security measures are implemented. If you use the Optimum Internet service to send, receive or post personal or confidential information, you do so at your own risk.
Children’s Privacy
Our Services and Websites are not directed at, or intended for use by, minors under the age of 18 and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from anyone under the age of 18. Children should always get permission from a parent or guardian before sending personal information over the Internet. If you believe your child may have provided us with personal information, you can contact us and request that we delete the information. You can find more information about protecting children's privacy by contacting the FTC or viewing the FTC website at www.ftc.gov.
- Use our Cookie Consent Management Tool. You can change your cookie preferences on our Sites by clicking the following icon in the bottom left corner of your screen at any time while visiting the Websites:
- Visit our Do Not Sell or Share/Opt Out of Targeted Advertising Page. If you are a current or former Optimum customer, you can change your targeted advertising preferences by visiting www.optimum.com/dnss-opt-out and submitting the form. This link is also available at the bottom of the optimum.com website.
- Enable a Global Privacy Control ("GPC") signal. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal for the browser or device on which it is enabled. To learn more about GPC and how to implement it, please visit GlobalPrivacyControl.org.
- You can opt out of promotional calls and mailings by contacting us at 888-822-5151 or [email protected] to be placed on our "Do Not Call" and "Do Not Mail" lists, and you can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in the message. Do Not Mail requests apply for 12 months, and requests may take up to 30 days to take effect. We may still send you service and transactional messages.
- You can opt out of your personal information being de-identified or anonymized for inclusion in De-Identified Audiences by visiting optimum.net/privacy-preferences.
- If you are an Optimum TV customer, you can restrict the use of program and content recommendations by visiting optimum.net/privacy-preferences.
Your Privacy Choices
As explained below, we provide you with a number of choices about how your personal information is used. In addition to the information provided below, you can visit Your Privacy Choices.
Online advertising
We and our partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show you advertising tailored to your interests, including on other companies’ sites and apps. We may additionally provide personal information about you to partners to enable, enhance, and measure how we advertise and market our Services. To opt out of the use of your personal information for these purposes:
You can also opt out of participating companies’ interest-based ads through the industry tools available through the Network Advertising Initiative and the Digital Advertising Alliance, and you can adjust your browser settings to limit cookies and advertising identifiers. However, please note that any opt-out that you provide via industry tools and any adjustments you make to your browser configuration are not conveyed to Optimum and may not affect how Optimum discloses your personal information.
Additional opt-outs we offer our customers
- We do not engage in profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
- We do not "sell" your personal information for monetary consideration or as that term is otherwise generally defined; however, we may disclose personal information such as identifiers and internet or other electronic network activity information to advertising, analytics, and social network partners for targeted advertising and cross-context behavioral advertising, as described in the “How We Disclose Personal Information” section of this Policy. We do not disclose “sensitive personal information” or “sensitive data” (as those terms are defined under your state’s law) for these purposes.
- We may disclose the categories of personal information identified in Section 2, "Personal Information We Collect," with the categories of third parties identified in Section 4, "How We Disclose Information."
- We do not knowingly sell the personal information of consumers under 18, or disclose such personal information for purposes of cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising.
- Know and access. Confirm whether we process your personal information, access that information, and obtain a copy of your personal information in a portable format;
- Correct. Correct inaccuracies in your personal information;
- Delete. Delete personal information we have collected from or about you, subject to certain exceptions;
- Opt out of Sale, Targeted Advertising, and Profiling. Opt-out of the sale of your personal information, the processing of your personal information for targeted advertising, and any profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects;
- Withdraw consent. You have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal information;
- Appeal. Appeal a decision to decline your request.
- Know and access. Confirm whether we process your personal information, access that information and the specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, along with the categories of information, the categories of sources, the business or commercial purpose for collecting it, and the categories of third parties to which we disclose it, and obtain a copy of your personal information in a portable format;
- Correct. Correct inaccuracies in your personal information;
- Delete. Delete personal information we have collected from or about you, subject to certain exceptions;
- Opt out of Sale and Sharing. Opt-out of the sale of your personal information, and the processing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising; and
- Limit use and disclosure of your Sensitive Personal Information. Limit the use and disclosure of your Sensitive Personal Information to specific purposes denoted under California law.
Your State Privacy Rights
A number of states give residents additional rights with respect to personal information. The rights you have, and the exceptions that apply, depend on where you live. Residents of states with these privacy laws can learn more about their rights and choices; This section only applies to residents of the states identified in it.
The rights provided in this section may not apply in every circumstance. In some cases, we might limit or deny your request to exercise them because the law allows us or requires us to do so. We may also deny certain types of requests if we are unable to verify who you are. Where required by applicable law, we will notify you if we reject your request and notify you of the reasons we are unable to honor your request. We won’t discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

You may also opt out of the use of your personal information for targeted advertising through the methods described in the "Your Privacy Choices" section of this Policy.
To protect your information, we may verify your identity before responding, which generally requires that we confirm you are a current or former customer; we may ask you to provide information so we can match it to information we maintain. We will respond within the time your state's law requires. If we decline your request, we will tell you how to appeal; if we deny your appeal, we will give you a way to contact your state's attorney general.
Sensitive data collection and use
We will obtain your consent before processing sensitive information or data where your state's law requires it. We do not presently collect information about your health, biometric or genetic data, or sexual orientation. We may collect precise geolocation information about you in some circumstances with your consent, such as to help troubleshoot your network connection. For Optimum Mobile customers, we may collect and share real-time precise geolocation information with law enforcement upon receipt of valid legal process. We do not otherwise collect or store such information. We may collect information regarding your race, ethnicity or religion where permitted under your state’s laws and with any required consent. We may also collect your Social Security Number for credit-related purposes, including to verify your credit standing or make inquiries about your credit experiences.Additional information for California residents

You can submit a request to know, request to delete, or request to correct ("Consumer Rights Request") by filling out form available at https://www.Optimum.com/ccpa-form, or by contacting us at 1-806-418-8888.
We are only required to respond to verifiable Consumer Rights Requests made by you, or someone legally authorized to act on your behalf. You may also make a verifiable Consumer Rights Request on behalf of your minor child. When you submit a verifiable Consumer Rights Request, we will take steps to verify your request by email or telephone call. In some cases, we may request additional information in order to verify your request or where necessary to process your request. If we are unable to adequately verify a request, we will notify the requestor. Authorized agents will be required to provide proof of their authorization and we may also require that the relevant consumer directly verify their identity and the authority of the authorized agent.
We will only use personal information provided in a verifiable consumer request to verify the requestor's identity or authority to make the request.
We cannot respond to your request or provide you with personal information if we cannot verify your identity or authority to make the request and confirm the personal information relates to you.
Right to opt out of Sale or SharingWe do not sell personal information about California residents for monetary consideration or as that term is traditionally defined. We may use certain advertising and analytics tools or make personal information available for cross-context behavioral advertising. Right to limit the use of Sensitive Personal InformationUnder the CCPA, California residents have the right to direct us to limit our use and disclosure of their Sensitive Personal Information in order to infer characteristics about them. You can exercise that right at optimum.net/privacy-preferences.
Shine the Light and CalOPPAUnder California’s Shine the Light law, California customers may request information about whether we have disclosed personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes. If you request it, we will provide you with a notice of your right to prevent sharing of your personal information as well as a cost-free means of doing so. You may request such a notice via email ([email protected]) or by submitting a written request to Optimum at 1111 Stewart Ave., Bethpage, NY 11714, Attn. Shared Services specifying that you seek your "California Customer Choice Notice." Please allow thirty days for a response.
Our Services do not respond to "Do Not Track" signals; however, we honor the Global Privacy Control as described in Section 9, above.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy here and update the effective date, and provide additional notice where required by law. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
